Art for All - Upcycled Bookbinding Workshop with Ana Llorente
In this one-day workshop, you will learn a series of bookbinding techniques easily accomplished with limited materials.
We will start with a brief conversation on the history of bookbinding, followed by a hands-on demo, and ending with a guided 'making' session where you will make and bind your sketchbook.
Ana Llorente is a Cuban-Venezuelan educator, graphic designer, and artist living and working in Ukiah, California, the land of the Pomo People. She occasionally teaches graduate and undergraduate courses at California College of the Arts in San Francisco and Otis College of Art and Design in Los Angeles. She often works as a freelance graphic designer in exhibition design, print design, and experiential design. Ana’s art practice is guided by a fascination with the temporal state of the seasons and an obsession with translating ephemeral form into permanent expression.
Supplies provided. Limited space available, registration suggested.
When: Friday, June 27, 2025 - 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.
Where: MEDIUM Art Center - 518 E. Perkins St., Ukiah, CA 95482
