Call for Entry: The Music Within: Our Worlds Matter

Medium Art Center invites artists of all backgrounds to submit work for its upcoming July juried group exhibition, The Music Within: Our Worlds Matter.

"The Music Within: Our Worlds Matter” is an exhibition with an open call to neurodivergent artists or artists with disabilities, whether diagnosed or not, in celebration of Disability Pride month. The theme of this show is represented in a quote: “Most people go to their graves with their music still inside them.” This is an opportunity to let your creativity out. All forms of art are accepted, including music, painting, photography, and illustration. Each artist can submit a maximum of three pieces maximum, and one of the three will be accepted. We are breaking down walls, coming out of isolation into celebration, because our worlds matter.

The exhibition will run from July 3 to August 4, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, July 3, during Ukiah’s First Friday Art Walk.

Submission Details:

  • Entry Deadline: Sunday, June 21, 2026

  • There is no entry fee, and a limit of three entries per artist.

  • Open to all artists with disabilities, whether diagnosed or not

  • Commission-free sales (optional donation-based model)

Selected artists will be notified the week of June 22. All accepted work must be delivered in person or shipped by July 1, ready to hang or display.

*Work should be framed or mounted with appropriate hardware for hanging or ready to display on a pedestal. For questions about getting work “hang-ready,” email us at info@deepvalleyarts.org.
