Join us at Medium Art Center Thursday, August 20th for our community OPEN MIC!

Open Mic is held on the third THURSDAY of every month starting at 6:30 pm. Come to a welcoming and supportive space to read a story, sing a song, recite a favorite poem or any other short performance. All ages are welcome. No experience necessary.

Aren’t a performer? Come listen and show your support while getting a free show.

• Sign-Up: Arrive early to put your name on a physical sheet of paper. First come, first play. An MC or host manages the sign-up sheet, introduces acts, runs the sound system, and keeps the night moving.

• Time Allocation: Acts are generally given 3 to 15 minutes (or 2 to 3 songs/poems) depending on how many performers are on the roster.

• The Performance: When your name is called, you take the stage, do a quick line-check with the host (or sound engineer), and perform your material.

• Etiquette: It creates a welcoming community environment for all if performers stay to support other acts and maintain a quiet, respectful environment during set.
