Call for Entries: “Memento Vivere”
MEDIUM Art Center invites artists of all backgrounds to submit work for its upcoming August juried group exhibition, Memento Vivere.
“Memento Vivere” is Latin for “remember to live.”
We spend much of our lives preparing, planning, worrying, scrolling, saving, waiting, and recovering. We live in a time filled with distractions, obligations, noise, and uncertainty. It is easy to move through the days on autopilot.
Memento Vivere is an invitation to pay attention.
This exhibition explores what it means to be fully alive. We invite artists to consider the moments, people, places, rituals, obsessions, failures, joys, and contradictions that make up a life. What reminds you that you are here? What makes life feel urgent, meaningful, strange, beautiful, or worth living?
The work may be personal or political, intimate or expansive. It may celebrate connection, curiosity, pleasure, resilience, rebellion, wonder, grief, growth, or the simple act of being present. We are interested in artwork that engages honestly with the experience of living rather than presenting easy answers.
The exhibition will run from August 7 to September 1, 2026, with an opening reception on Friday, August 7, during Ukiah’s First Friday Art Walk.
